A Letter to my new friend(s):

"Hello there, my name is Caroline Zheng.

I was born and raised in Wuyishan, a mountain town in Fujian, China, where tea isn’t just a drink, it’s part of daily life. From family dinners to quiet mornings, rock oolong and black tea have always been there, steeped in tradition, memory, and warmth.

Wuyishan is home to the world’s first black tea and the only authentic origin of Yancha (Rock Oolong). These teas grow between ancient cliffs, shaped by mist, mineral-rich soil, and centuries of craftsmanship. For me, they carry the soul of my hometown: bold, warm, and grounded.

Now living in Vancouver, I created Rockborn Tea to share a piece of Wuyishan with my new home. It’s more than just tea, it’s a way to connect people, stories, and cultures. I hope every cup brings you not just flavor, but a moment of calm, curiosity, or connection, just like it always has for me.
